Baja Communities
Baja California is actually two states consisting of Baja California, the upper half starting just above Punta Falsa, and the lower half, Baja Sur. Many Americans enjoy the touristic destinations of San Felipe, Ensenada, Cabo San Lucas, Cabo San Lucas and nearby San Jose del Cabo. Many others have invested in second homes for vacation or retirement all the way from Tijuana and Rosarito in the north to San Felipe, Loreto and the Cabos in the south. The Sea of Cortez has much to offer in the way of warm weather and water as well as excellent sport fishing, surfing, scuba diving, kayaking and other water sports.

Housing development/investment in Baja
You know things have improved from the standpoint of investment in real estate in Baja when the California Public Employee's Retirement System thinks its a good idea to invest there.
International companies have increasing faith in Mexican real estate investment. A big sign came in July 2004, when LaSalle Investment Management announced it had acquired a portfolio of 53 properties in Mexico for around $300 million on behalf of itself, its parent (Jones Lang LaSalle Inc.) and a consortium of institutional investors from the United States, Canada and Europe. The investors included the California Public Employees’ Retirement System.
